Matt's Homecoming & Mark's Surgery Date Arrives

I first heard Tim McGraw's song "If You're Reading This" right after my cousin left for Iraq. Since May, I always turn the station everytime it's played. I just couldn't listen to it, so I never heard the entire song. Last Sunday, I finally listened to it on my way home from seeing him. He is home safe & sound until this Sunday, so all of the Langford family gathered at Lindsey's new house in Petal for lunch. It was so good to see him. He looks great! I'm so proud of him! I can't imagine what all he's experienced. He had lots of pictures. Put it this way....we are so blessed and don't have room to complain! He leaves in a few days, but he says that he will not be in as much danger when he returns this time...and we are so glad about that. I had a great time taking pictures of Addison (my cousin's little girl). She looks so much like Lindsey when she was little. My niece, Marleigh, has the serious look going on in her picture!

Well, tomorrow is finally Mark's surgery at St. D. We are both so humbled by all of the people who are praying for him. Tonight, I pray that God will give him peace until surgery. He hasn't been sleeping well and I'm sure tonight will be the worst. I worry about my kids and what they are really feeling right now. I'm afraid they are hiding their fear from us so we won't worry.

I'll post an update from the hospital tomorrow, if possible. Thank you all so much for your calls, text messages, phone calls/messages, emails and most of all prayers.
