Tuesday, January 8th-Leigh Ashley's appointment

It was a long day! Dr. Evans said that it sounds like syncope. (This was
Marietta's diagnosis over the phone, also:) His office exam showed
no problems. He said that he's not saying that it absolutely not a
seizure, he is just leaning towards syncope. Now he wants to check
and see if there's a reason for it. She had a EKG today over at the
children's hospital. Dr. Evans said that I could ask the person
doing the test what it looked like. So, I asked the guy who did the
EKG if he could tell me what it showed. He glanced at it and said
"well, it says normal right here". He wasn't the brightest little
guy. He gave me the printout. Dr. Evans said that if it showed
anything other than normal, they would tell me to wait and talk to
the doctor. When we walked out, I looked down at the paper and under
**Pediatric ECG analysis**, the first thing said "Normal sinus
rhythm" and under that it said "Possible Right ventricular
hypertrophy". I called Jill Bowden(Dr. Ray's nurse for years up
until a couple of years ago who now works in Dr. Evans office three
days a week) and told her what it said. She put me on hold and went
to see what Dr. Evans said about it. She came back to the phone and
he said to wait and let the cardiologist read it before worrying.
That's what I get for being nosey--worrying without knowing what it
really means. Hopefully, he'll say it's nothing to worry about.
Jill said to call tomorrow and they can tell me what the
cardiologist's report said.

She has an EEG scheduled in a couple of weeks. Dr. Evans was great!
Having Jill there, really helped me relax a little. We are so
blessed.... Leigh Ashley was the only healthy child in that office.
Walking through that hospital really makes me hug my children tighter
and cry out to God in thankfulness!!!

Thanks for checking on us
much love,
melinda
