Discovering YouTube

Well, I said that I was tired of posting info from doctor's visits. Thankfully, we've not been in a doctor's office all week!!! If you've not heard of YouTube, you must be living under a rock! When Zachary first showed it to me, I had a fit. It was some crude video that someone emailed him. Well, I found out that YouTube is much more than stupid videos of people with too much time on their hands. If it's happened, it's most likely been caught on YouTube. When I looked up Kellie Pickler's video "I Wonder", I came across news clips of her mother being interviewed as well as Kellie's reaction. I guess I just missed that story completely. I had no idea that her mother had spoke publicly about her song and her daughter's success. A few weeks later, I was telling Mark about Faith Hill confronting a fan after she grabbed Tim between the legs. After trying to describe what happened, I thought about looking it up on YouTube. Yep, it was there. Concert goers recorded portions of their concert and captured the moment. I've even watched instructional videos for photo editing on there. So, check YouTube before you go out a buy anything like that. You never know what you'll find.

A months ago, I was watching Christian music video on one of the cable channels when Point of Grace's video "How You LIve" came on. I later looked to see if it was on YouTube and it was. I love that song and wanted to share it, so I posted it on my blog. It's on down the page somewhere. All you do is click and watch. That is the coolest thing. I've become such a computer geek!

Ok, a disclaimer.... There's always something that has to ruin things! There are many terrible things on YouTube, so don't think it's fine to let your child explore the site unsupervised. You can only imagine the sick stuff people want to share.
