A Celebration!

 
 
 
 

Saturday night, we celebrated the engagement of Amanda & Kevin. Amanda is the daughter of our dear friends, Bill & Carla Moss. We became friends when we moved to Brandon almost 15 years ago. They were building their house at the same time we were building ours on Point Drive. They became more than just neighbors. We have so many wonderful memories of the time we lived there. We've laughed and cried together. We've watched each other's kids grow up. Since we moved several years ago, we don't spend near as much time together. Carla and I were talking today about how no matter how long it's been since we've seen or talked to each other, we can just pick right back up where we left off.

I think everyone enjoyed the Engagement Party. We hosted it along with 7 other couples at the Yacht Club. The food was wonderful and the flowers were beautiful. Mrs. Courtney had Jeni Butler do the arrangements and she really outdid herself. I hope it was a special night that Amanda & Kevin will always remember. Today, we received great news. All of Mark's scans came back clear. Cancer is not present anywhere else in his body...Praise God! After the nurse called me, I called to tell Mark. I just cried. What a relief to know that with surgery in a couple of weeks, he should be cancer free. God is so good!!!!
