I've got to brag a minute on my momma and daddy! They've never agreed to any type of request for articles or other types of interviews about their restaurant. Most people would jump at any interview request that might promote their business, but not them. A couple of months ago, my mother happened to answer the phone when a lady from MS Southern Farm Bureau's magazine called and asked about doing a feature article on Charlie's. She doesn't know why she actually agreed, but she did and they scheduled a time for her to interview them both. She told her that they did not want their picture taken, but she was welcome to take a picture of the building or anything else.
The article came out last week and it looks great! I'm so glad that they finally agreed to be interviewed about their business. They've been doing this a long time and people like reading about locally owned businesses that are successful.
