A Big Weekend!

What a busy weekend we've had! First of all, Prep won the AAA Baseball Championship 21-5 against Parklane Academy in McComb on Saturday!!! Zachary has really had a great first year of high school sports this year with Prep winning the football & baseball championship. He has the football championship ring and now he will get a baseball one. For some reason, they don't order class rings. That was such a big deal when I was in high school, but not now. Guess it's a good thing since we have the sports rings to buy. I don't mind one bit though. He'll still be talking about this when he's an old man!

Leigh Ashley finished off her dance year with the annual recital. It's been such a good year for her because she has found her love. It's been really busy with her being on the dance team, but she's loved every minute of it! It's been fun for me as well because some great friendships have developed as a result for both of us.

I'm so excited for my kids because I know they are making memories that will last a lifetime. Zachary has two exams today and one tomorrow, so there wasn't a lot of studying going on this weekend. One mother hit the nail on the head Saturday night after the championship victory..... she said "I know they have exams next week and should not go out and celebrate tonight, but what will they remember 10 years from now.... what grade they made on their exam or the night they won the championship?" Needless to say, our boys went out and had a great time!
